About St. Francis Convent School Ghanie ke Bangar
Every great happening has a humble beginning as St. Francis Convent School had.
It was a dream of the His Excellency Rt. Rev. Bishop Symphorian Keeparth and the Diocese of Jalandhar to enlighten Ghanie Ke Bangar with the light of Education. He knew very well that a convent School will polish the youth of the area into great developers of the society and country at large. To materialize this dream he found a place at Batala road on 27th March 1992.
It was an isolated place but the beginners foresaw it as a temple of learning which would evolve the society into educated civilization of peace and harmony. Its foundation stone was laid by the apostolic hands of Rt. Rev. Dr. Symphorian Keeparth, the then Bishop of Diocese of Jalandhar on 18th June 1992. Regular classes commenced in 21st July 1993. The medium of instruction was English.
